Strawberries and cream feature in our brand-new collaboration bar created with Wellington Chocolate Factory, a first for both ground-breaking Kiwi companies.  

The bespoke bar is the newest release in our range of exciting, locally-focused products we are creating exclusively for our team and vendors.  

In late 2020, we released our Limited-Edition Poppy Seed Gin with Imagination Gin. This new chocolate bar features freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate – and is the first time Wellington Chocolate Factory (WCF) has created a bar using 100% white chocolate.  

Maddi Brown, Head of Innovation and Product Development for WCF, says the bar has 8% freeze-dried strawberries - the highest percentage they have ever used, giving it the unmistakable strawberries and cream flavour. 

The strawberries make this bar delicious, and I love the colour it’s produced. 

“We’ve discovered how versatile white chocolate is when using freeze-dried products. The flavour not only comes through well, but you also get a great colour, too,” says Maddi Brown.  

Our team has worked closely with WCF in making the new bar - from potential flavour combinations to tasting and choosing the final product.  Heidi Roberts, Head of Brand for Tall Poppy, says she’s proud of their creation.

The WCF x Tall Poppy Bar features in the company’s new appraisal packs, sent to thousands of Kiwis each year from Invercargill to Northland. The bar is the latest release in the new range of exciting, locally-focused collaborations Tall Poppy is working on with iconic Kiwi companies and creators.
